Uniform Civil Code is very important in our country. Because if this law is applied then everyone will get equal rights. We should first know what this law actually is. This law means equal law for all regardless of caste, religion, caste. At present, the personal laws of different communities are governed by their religious texts. As we hear Sharia law in Islam, it means the part of their religious law which is part of Islamic law. Our current government Bharatiya Janata Party has promised to implement the Uniform Civil Code.

Our country's government is fighting to implement this law, but some left-wing, Muslim and conservative religious groups are opposing the law to defend Sharia and religious practices. If this law is implemented in our country then the LGBTQIA+ community will see some light of hope as this law is equal for all irrespective of caste, creed, caste. Although same-sex marriage is now legal in our country, it is still not accepted in some places, so this law is very important.

During British rule, personal laws were introduced especially for Hindus and Muslims. The British thought that they might get opposition from the community so they refrained from all this. Goa differed from British law due to colonial rule. So Goa is a place where Uniform Civil Code prevails. So it is very important to implement this law in our country. If this law is applied in our country, then everyone will be able to live with equal rights, there will be no fighting over religion. We demand that this law be implemented as soon as possible.
