Is India a crime free nation?

The above asked question is painful for the citizens of the country to answer it. Well India is not a crime free nation, rather the crime rate is also increasing with the country's developing rate. India is a country of more than 130 crore people so the crime rate will also be high but we should question our administration why these crimes are happening?

Our government is providing immense power to the administration so that the crime rate should go down but recently there are so many cases of crimes happening all around us. Recently a news which everyone is aware of is a boy named Aftab Poonawala murdered his girlfriend Shraddha, he chopped her into 35 pieces and dumped her body in different places.

Following this case, many such cases were reported in different parts of India. Somewhere Wife killed her husband, brother killed another brother, and the son killed his mother. So there are innumerous numbers of such cases which are yet to be disclosed, but the main question is what the administration is doing to safeguard the citizens.

Last year we also heard a story where a boy set fire on a girl for rejecting his proposal. He went to her house at night around 4 am when everyone was sleeping and taking advantage of the night he set fire on the girl. The girl did not survive and succumbed to the injuries. Her last words were also to put her murderer behind the bars, well the police caught the accused and detained him.

But this is only a single case I’m talking about, there are many such cases happening all over the country. Today because of the internet, we are aware of such incidents happening all around us, but the crime rate is still high. When will all these crimes stop haunting? When a girl will be allowed to roam at night without any fear of getting raped? When the country will be free from rape, murder, robbery and other crimes?

This is the land of those leaders who sacrificed their lives for us but today we are not safe even in our own country. We have a fear if something happens to us or to our near and dear ones. This fear should stop haunting us and it is the duty of the administration to increase the crime rate in India.
