Indian Muslim influencer advocates for the beheading of those who insult the prophet

On Wednesday, Syed Ali Akbar Jagirdar, an Islamist social media influencer, was apprehended by the Karnataka Police. He was arrested for inciting violence by advocating for the beheading of individuals who insult Prophet Muhammad. The influencer, who used Instagram as his platform, shared videos that encouraged people to harm non-Muslims, labeling them as 'kafirs'.

In various videos posted on social media, the arrested individual could be heard uttering statements like "Decapitate those who verbally attack the prophet," "According to the Quran, hell is the destined place for non-believers," and "Eliminate Hindu men engaged in relationships with Muslim women." The videos gained widespread attention online, leading to their discovery by the Yadgiri Town Police Station in Karnataka.


The authorities promptly responded by filing a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused and subsequently apprehending him. The Instagram account associated with the accused, bearing the username @syeds_jagirdar_v18, boasts approximately 9000 followers. The account has featured over 100 videos, showcasing the influencer's self-proclaimed role as a video creator who adheres to Islamic principles.
