Just days following the violent intrusion by extremist individuals adhering to radical Islamic beliefs, who pillaged 21 Churches along with several residences inhabited by Christian minority groups, another incident has occurred in Sheikhpura, Punjab, Pakistan. This time, a Christian man fell victim to a mob of Islamic fundamentalists.
A video that has gained significant traction on social media depicts an enraged crowd singling out a man named Malik Ijaz. Gunfire can be discerned in the background as the mob forcibly entered his residence, subjecting it to acts of vandalism. The mob not only plundered his belongings, flinging them onto the street, but they also inflicted damage on his property. Tragically, the situation escalated, resulting in Ijaz being fatally shot.
Furthermore, the radical Islamists affiliated with Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) perpetrated an act of sacrilege against a church. This involved defiling the place of worship and inscribing phrases pertaining to Allah and the Prophet on its walls. The removal of these inscriptions carries the potential to trigger another instance of blasphemy accusations. Regrettably, the Pakistani government's efforts to curtail such incidents have proven ineffective thus far.
